Hanson Lee Higginbotham age 82, of Scottsboro, AL, passed away April 16, 2025, at highlands Medical Center. his passion was teaching music. He wrote over a hundred songs, some published and played on local radio stations. He had his own unique way of teaching music and played all instruments. Hanson always had a funny joke up his sleeve.
Hanson is survived by his son Harlon (Pam) Higginbotham, Five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, special friends Terry Mears, Carla Moyer, and William Jones.
Pall bearers are Cody Higginbotham, Jason Thomason, Reed Thomason, Lane Thomason, Jacob Holcomb, and Preston Holcomb
Honorary pall bearers Carter Thomason and Connor Holcomb.
Hanson was preceded by his mother Katherine Higginbotham English and his daughter Jeanette Ledbetter.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all staff at Highlands Health and Rehab.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Cedar Hill Cemetery arranged by Rudder Funeral Home.
