Gracie Welch Barksdale, 54, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Russellville, Alabama. She was raised in Belgreen where she attended and graduated from Belgreen High School.
Services will be today at 6 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Alabama, with Brother Ray Burks officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are her husband, Chris Barksdale, Red Bay, Alabama; one son, Keith Seal (Christina) San Antonio, Texas; stepchildren, Jordan Barksdale (Paige), of North Carolina, and Kayla Fowler (Brandon), Belmont, Mississippi; grandchildren, Alexander Seal, Nicholas Seal, Elizabeth Seal, Jacob Seal and Tucker Barksdale; brothers and sisters, Margaret Summeral (Ed), David Welch, Dorothy Bachelor (Ricky), Maylene McDowell (Mike), Kathy Blanton (Kenneth) and Urcil Welch (Teresa); sister-in-law, Linda Welch; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Junior and Retha Mae Gann Welch, and brothers and sister, Scope Welch (Velma), Shirley Hargett (Cotton) and Charlie Welch.
Visitation will be today, 4-6 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama.
