Geraldine “Jerri” Nelson, 70, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014. Visitation will be Monday, March 31, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Tuesday, at 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Larry Smart and Jessie May officiating. Burial will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by husband, A.J. Nelson; mother, Christine McBride; father, J.C. McBride; and brother, David McBride.
Survivors include son, Donnie Nelson (Marsha); daughter, Katrina Nelson; grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Hannah, Jordan, Mark, and Matt; great grandson, Easton Nelson; sisters-in-law, Louise, Polly, Doris, Gladys, Martha, Nancy, and the late Ruby Pennington.
Pallbearers are Kyle Race, Ashley Nelson, Ray Nunley, Dylan Barfield, Tyler Terry, and Jordan Nelson.
The family gratefully acknowledges the help and support of the doctors and nurses at Helen Keller Hospital ICU and fourth floor.
