George Ronnie Lankford, 67, of Athens, went home to be with the Lord, March 10, 2016 after a long illness. He is survived by 5 brothers, Jimmy Lankford of Galex, VA, Charles Lankford of Prospect, TN, James Lankford of Toney, AL, Buddy Lankford of Scottsboro, AL, and Marvin Lankford of Hazelgreen, AL, one sister, Edna Chapman, of Colonial Heights VA, and several nieces and nephews, Laura Aldridge, James and Billy Ouellette.
There will be a graveside service at Sylone Cemetery in Elkmont on Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the family, to help with expenses.
