Gary Wayne Wilbanks, 71, of Cherokee, Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024. Visitation will be Thursday, March 7th from noon to 2 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel with Bro. Steve Slaton officiating. Burial will be in Harris Chapel Cemetery, Cherokee.
Gary was a member of the Army Reserve. He was a warehouse worker at American Wholesale for 25 years where he had many special friends that he loved.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Mac Edward and Margaret Christine Wilbanks.
He is survived by his wife, Kathlena (Kathy) Thompson Wilbanks; brother, Todd Wilbanks; sister, Sue Hamm; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Thompson, Micky Hamm, Mike Hamm, David Hamm, Roger Boyce, and Tommy Sledge. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Goss and Larry Smallwood.
