Gary Campbell, age 76, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, September 28, 2026, at his residence. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, retired from manufacturing where he was employed with Murray Ohio, Modine Mfg., and a family business, and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and playing games like Rook and Risk. Gary was an avid collector of comic books and enjoyed sharing them with his two grandsons. He was also a proud great-grandfather and would often show pictures of her.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wink and Bessie Helen Massey Campbell; one brother, Jerry Campbell; and one sister, Sharon Campbell.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vila Campbell of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Kevin D. Campbell (Karissa) of Centerville, TN; two grandsons, Logan Campbell (Elizabeth) of Centerville, TN and Tyler Campbell of Lansing, MI; one great-granddaughter, Nora Kate Campbell of Centerville, TN; one brother, Terry Campbell of Lawrenceburg, TN; and one sister, Carol Sherman of Lawrenceburg, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 1, 2026, with Chad Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Lawrence County Public Library or Mars Hill Baptist Church Children’s Wing.
