Freddie Ross Hasting of Gurley, Alabama, died Dec.8th, 2013 at his home in Gurley.
He was born in Meridianville, Alabama on Nov. 13, 1942. He was a manager of McDonalds in Michigan for 15 yrs.
He and his family moved to Alabama in 1974. He retired from North Alabama Skill Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
He loved woodworking and building toys for his grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, photography, and a love for art. He was a member of the Maysville Church of Christ.
His parents were Roy and Bunia Hasting of Ardmore, Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sumner Hasting; Sons, Danny Hasting and wife, Michele; Billy Hasting and wife, Natalie; David Hasting and Lori Hasting; Brian Hasting and wife, Kim; Jeff Hasting.; Grandsons; Matthew, Ryan, Aaron, Chad, Zachary, and Brandon; Granddaughters; Ashley Hasting Byers and husband, Jedon; Bethany Hasting Wallace, and husband, Wesley; Courtney Hasting; Great-Grandchildren; Gavin, Talin, Jaydin Byers; Ezra Wallace; Brothers; Morris and Jerry Hasting of Michigan.
Preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be Friday Dec.13th from 12 to 2p.m. at Ardmore Chapel with services following. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery. Pallbearer’s will be his grandsons. The family asks that memorials be made to The Alzheimer’s Foundation.
