Alton Lee Rusk age 70 of Athens, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Rusk was born February 3, 1943 in Cullman County, AL to John Ang Rusk and Carrie Russ Rusk.
Services will be Thursday, December 12, 2013 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Kasey Harbin and Kevin Harbin officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.
Preceded in death by his parents, John Ang and Carrie Rusk; two brothers, L.E. Rusk and James Rusk.
Survived by his wife, Barbara Rusk of Athens; two daughters, Gayle Harbin and husband, Kevin and Cynthia Springer and husband, David; son, Christopher Rusk; three brothers, J.C. Rusk, Hubert Rusk and wife, Jean and Duell Rusk and wife, Linda; two sisters, Doris Harris and Linda Brock and husband, Wendell; step-grandson, Ryan Springer; mother-in-law, Lula Florissa Stevens; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Ridinger, Kenneth Harbin, Wendell Brock, Jimmy Nash, Bob Knapper, Jeff Black and James McElyea.
