Forrest Wayne Stanford, 70 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital.
Born Sunday, January 14, 1945 in Elkmont, Alabama, he was the son of the late William Stanford and Louise Joyce Stanford. He was a lifelong resident of the Elkmont area and loved showing and riding horses. He also loved to tell jokes and travel. He was preceded in death by his patents, a son: Michael Stanford, step-daughter: Donna Dunn, and sister: Joyce Lewter.
Surviving are special friend: Freda Stanford of Elkmont, AL, son, Marcus (Vanessa) Stanford of Elkmont, AL, stepdaughter: Bonnie McGennis of Trinity, AL, sister, Edith (Billy) Davis of Elkmont, AL, grandchildren: Alyssa Stanford, Dani & Matt Trible, and Chris & Argenia McGennis, and one great-grandchild: Colin Rhett Trible.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
