FLORENCE-On November 29, 2024 at approximately 4:30 AM, officers responded to a shots fired call in the area of Perry Street and Pruitt Street.ย Upon arrival officers encountered approximately thirty people in the street and one male with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Deangelis Dewayne Nance
The male was transported to the North Alabama Medical Center for treatment.ย Multiple witness to the shooting identified Deangelis Dewayne Nance, of Florence, as the shooter.ย Nance had fled the scene prior to officerโs arrival.ย
On December 5, 2024, Nance was arrested and charged with Assault 1stย degree.
He is currently confined at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $30,000 bond.
Deangelis Dewayne Nance is innocent until proven guilty.
