Felix Johnson was born on June 30, 1927 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Joe and Mima Jane Prater Johnson. On September 12, 1947, he was united in marriage to Ruth Grimes, who preceded her husband in death on May 1, 2009.
Mr. Johnson worked for Tommy Tinin Construction as an equipment operator and served his country in the United States Army.
Felix Johnson departed this life on May 4, 2016 at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 4 days.
He is survived by his daughter, Jean Brewer of Waynesboro, Tennessee; sister, Katie Thompson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; brother, Ben Johnson of Clifton, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Stanfield, Jamie Brewer, and Kyle Brewer; 7 great-grandchildren, Drew Casteel, Jamison Brewer, Preston Casteel, Greta Brewer, Kylee Brewer, Ayden Brewer, and Kasen Brewer; and 2 great-great-grandchildren Landan Casteel and Layla Casteel.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Verna Wright, Hazel Cagle, and Robbie Johnson.
