Faye Merrell Hand, 81, of Ardmore, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at her home.
Faye was born on Wednesday, November 3, 1943, to Fountain Merrell and Delia Bell Ferguson Merrell.
She was a 2nd Degree Black Belt Karate Instructor and a member of the National Karate and Jiu-Jitsu Union registered in Osaka, Japan.. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, creating floral arrangements, birding, painting, as well as studying archeology from across the world.
Faye is survived by her husband of 61 years, William Hand, two daughters, Kelly Brewer and Erin Ferguson, one sister, Loretta Ekis, one grandchild, Garrett Baldwin, as well as numerous extended family.
A visitation will be held for Mrs. Hand at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. A Graveside Service is scheduled to follow visitation with service time beginning at 12:30 PM at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama. Chaplain Steve Seaton will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
