“Nana” or “Nanny” was a lovely, charming Southern woman. She was a talented seamstress, cook and cake baker, but her favorite thing to do was just take care of her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and a true blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

For over 20 years she owned and ran Evelyn’s Florist in Jasper. Everyone knew where to get the prettiest flowers in town. She was every bit as beautiful as the flowers she arranged for so many.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die. Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God.” John 11:25-27
