Evelyn "Smokie" Sevigne Evelyn “Smokie” Sevigne, aged 88, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, at Limestone Lodge. Born on March 9th, 1937, in Limestone County, she was the daughter of Carl and Ollie McCain West.

Evelyn is survived by her loving family, including her son Paul Sevigne of Killen. Her legacy continues through her grandsons, Scottie, Zach, and Timmy Sevigne. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Sevigne, her daughter Tippy Sevigne, as well as one brother and four sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sevigne will be Saturday, April 19th, 2025, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Clark officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 12:00-1:45pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike West, Tim Hargrave, Carl McLemore, Joseph Isom, Luke Isom, and Brenden Isom.

A devoted member of the Bethel Church of Christ, Evelyn was known for her generous spirit and her heart for children. Her creativity shone through her love of crafts, particularly in the charming chicken figurines she enjoyed making. Her warmth and kindness will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Evelyn “Smokie” Sevigne will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
