Douglas Scott, 85 of Graysville, was reunited with his wife Ann on Sunday March 26, 2023.
Papaw, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Brookside. He was known all over for his many years of delivering auto parts for Westwood Auto Parts and O’Reilly Auto Parts. He loved fishing and hunting, but most of all he loved to tinker. He was also Certified in Recliner Mechanics. He could put a rear end in a recliner better than anyone.
Funeral services will be Wednesday March 29th at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Bro. Buddy Sparkman will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville. Visitation is Wednesday from 12:30-2 pm at New Horizon Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ann Scott.
Survivors include children, Tammy Sparkman (Buddy) of Dora and Tommy Scott of Graysville; grandchildren, Amy Diffy (Matt), Amanda Scott, Lucas Scott, Ashley Whitlow (Matthew) and Daniel Sparkman (Abby); great grandchildren, Madelin, Natalie “Baby Buttons”, Blessyn, Marley, Dane, Kennedy and Gracie; very special niece, Angel Fuller (Raleigh “Bull”); several other family members and a host of friends.
The family would like to express their thanks to Avianna Hospice, especially Nurse Jamie Hudson, for all her love and care.
