Donna Marie Williams departed this realm for her life in eternity from her Plantersville residence after a period of declining health the last two years. A sweet lady with a remarkable disposition and personality, Donna was born to pioneer Lee County families, the Williams and Kellys of Plantersville. She was the daughter of the late Marie Kelly Williams and Robert “Bob” Williams. Donna attended Shannon High School where she graduated in 1969. Donna worked as a substitute teacher at Thomas St. Schools, served as a rural mail carrier as did her father, and spent her last years as a phlebotomist with United Blood Services. She was a lifelong member of the Plantersville Methodist Church. Donna carried herself with grace and dignity and loved socializing. A great conversationalist, she enjoyed being a good mother and doting over her boys and their children. A great fan of game shows, she spent countless hours before the TV watching her favorite shows. Donna had a generous spirit and a caring heart that touched many during her lifetime.

Per her request, there will be no public services. Those wishing to express well wishes to the family may do so on her memorial page at hollandfuneraldirectors.com. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo is honored to serve their friends and neighbors.

Donna is survived by her son, Robert “Rob” Whitesides of Plantersville; her grandchild, Dylan Rankin (Donna) of Pearl; her great-grandchildren, Shirley Ann Tatum, Wyatt Rankin and Waylon Rankin; and her brother, Stanley Williams and wife, Judy of Tupelo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Bob Williams; her son, Alan Whitesides; a grandchild, Summer; and the father of her children, Terry Whitesides.
