Donald Edward Bell, age 84, of Beech Bluff, Tennessee, passed peacefully on December 1, 2025.

He was a devoted husband to Avis Tulley Bell for 58 years and a loving father to his daughters, Angie Chapman and Amy Koeller (David). Don was also a proud grandfather of Cole Chapman, Ryan Koeller, and Evan Koeller.

Don is also survived by his brothers, Rodney (Kyra), Stephen (Janet), Gary (Jennifer), and Philip (Sherry); brothers-in-law, Bill Tulley (Julie) and Bobby Tulley (Norma); and a large number of cousins, nieces and nephews, whom he cherished. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Hazel Bell; grandparents, “Mom” and “Pop”; and son-in-law, Brian Chapman.

He retired from Bell South after a long career as an engineer. He was a member of Fellowship Bible Church.

Don had a lifelong love of the outdoors and was never happier than when he was in the quiet stillness of the woods. He was a skilled hunter of whitetail, mulies, and elk and he always got his limit when squirrel season came around. Every Fall, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado called his name. He loved to visit his favorite place, Glenwood Springs, CO, where he made many friends and memories over the years.

A funeral service to celebrate Don’s life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, in the chapel of Fellowship Bible Church. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Van Kissell will officiate. The burial will follow at Beech Bluff Cemetery.
