It is with great sorrow we are announcing the passing of Dennis E. Purkapile of Huntsville, Alabama. He left us at the age of 79 on June 18, 2023. He passed quickly with his family nearby.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred and father, Eugene, sister, Janice and brother, Duane. Survivors include his wife, Dorena Purkapile; sons, Eric and Brent Purkapile; grandchildren; Robert Purkapile, Ariel Doyle, Katie Cook, Ashley Purkapile and Richelle Walter; and great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Beat, Dakota Best and Elijah Walter.
His love for family and the love of his country were paramount to his life. He proudly served in United States Air Force for 20+ years as well as being a Civil Servant for 20+ years. He will be missed but has passed along the love of family and serving the defense of his country.
A private ceremony will be conducted with full military honors at Huntsville Memorial Gardens.
