Mary Tucker, 79, of Huntsville went home Monday morning following a long battle with bone marrow cancer. Born in Pikeville, KY, she moved with her mom to Sayersville, KY where she graduated from high school. After serving her country in the Army, which ultimately brought her to Huntsville, Mary joined the Business Office at Huntsville Hospital, retiring after 35 years. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class.
In 2001, she married Tommy Tucker and helped raise his son, Travis. She loved spending time with Travis and Jana’s daughter, Addy, their only grandchild, all of whom survive her.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 10 am at First Baptist Chapel followed by a service at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 600 Governors Drive, Huntsville AL 35801.
