Clarence Michael “Butch” Rogers, 75, of Huntsville, was born June 16, 1949,and passed away on June 2, 2025, in Huntsville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Butch graduated from Huntsville High in 1967 and attended Jacksonville State University. He was a member of the United States Army Reserve and was an industrial salesman throughout the southeast during his career. Towards the end of his career, Butch enjoyed his time as a real estate agent as he loved working with people.

He was renamed “Papa” by his grandchildren and spent his life sharing his love of Auburn Athletics (War Damn Eagle!), listening to Jimmy Buffet, becoming a cheeseburger connoisseur, and spending time on the gulf coast with his family. He was an active member of Church of the Highlands and truly enjoyed leading a men’s small group.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Evelyn Rogers and son, Robert “Bobby” Rogers. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Whisenant Rogers; his sisters, Beverly Gregory (Doug), Rebecca Dunivant (Barry), and Judith Westerhouse (Wayne); his brother, Jeff Rogers (Sue); son, Keith Rogers, daughter, Kelley Rogers Fogarty; daughter-in-law, Melissa Thomason Rogers; son-in-law, Matthew Fogarty; stepchildren, Stephen Jones (Sarah), Bethany Jones Alaidroos (Hasan), and Jeffrey Jones; grandchildren, Walton Kelley Rogers, Jackson Pettus Rogers, Owen Michael Fogarty, Henry James Fogarty, Hope Jones, Daniel Alaidroos; and many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Church of the Highlands (Huntsville campus) at 1:00 with a visitation to follow at 2:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sleep in Heavenly Peace or Lincoln Ministry.
