Christopher Jesse Shrader, age 59, of Wannville, AL passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2026. Chris was born on November 7, 1966 in Stevenson, AL. He worked as a banker for many years. Chris leaves behind his heartbroken mother (Faye Shrader) a devoted nephew and sister (Daniel Seay/Gayla Shrader). He was a father figure throughout his nephew’s life. He also leaves behind his football buddy and young cousin who meant a lot to him, Cole Holland.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Shrader.

Chris was known for his fun spirit and love for the outdoors, hunting, and Alabama football. Chris played football from the Pee Wee team through high school. He played kicker most often but also played other positions extremely well. Chris thought the Bible and football were the greatest things in the world!
Chris was always ready to lend a helping hand to his neighbors, family, church members, or anyone in need. He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He was a loyal friend to many, and a true joy to be around. You could not be around Chris without laughing. He always had interesting stories, loved to talk about guns, history, geography, and his greatest love the Bible. If you were having a bad day, he would make you smile again.
