Catherine “Cathy” Hooker James – Obituary

Catherine “Cathy” Hooker James, 71, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at ECM Hospital, Florence. A native of Franklin County, Alabama, she had lived in the area all of her life and was a member of Waco Baptist Church. After 40 years of employment, she retired from Berryman Construction as a secretary.
Visitation with friends and family will be Sunday, February 18, 2018, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Services will begin at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Billy George and Scott Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Russellville.
Mrs. James is survived by her husband, Jerry Wayne James; son, Patrick James and his wife, Megan Danielle James; sister, Virginia Edwards; brothers, John Hooker, Jr. and wife Emily; William Hooker and wife Paula; and Roger Hooker; grandchildren, Kaylee Abigail James and Brody Wayne James; and a host of friends, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by her parents, John Edwin Hooker, Sr. and Margaret Bowen Hooker.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
