Grady Farris, age 100, of Lynn, AL. passed away Thursday February 15, 2018 at his home. He was a retired Machine Operator with UMWA and a member of Crossroads Church of Christ.
His visitation will be Sunday February 18, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. His funeral will be Monday February 19, 2018 at Crossroads Church of Christ (Hwy 13) at 11:00 a.m., with Daniel Farris and Vance Hutton officiating, visitation at the church 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Burial in adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Dodd, Mike Farris, Griffin Lynn, Dylan Dodd, Jason Farris and Adam Brand.
He is survived by his children, J.C. (Ila) Farris of Winfield, AL., Eugene (Florence) Farris of Fayette, AL., Ann Nell Dodd of Lynn, AL., Garlin (Linda) Farris of Fairhope, AL. and Shirley Griffith of Lynn, AL.; sisters, Mary Lee Farris Cummings of Lynn, AL., Doris Farris Wiley of Haleyville, AL.. and Jewel Farris McCreless of Haleyville, AL.; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren; a host of family and friends.
he was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Leona Farris; wife,,Clara Long Farris; son in laws, Benny Joe Dodd and Luther Griffith; daughter in law, Judy Farris; grandchildren, Dennis Wade Farris, Darren Farris and Bonita Hicks; brothers and sisters, Frank, Charlie, Parralee, Pearl, Racie, Pervie, Bruce, Erma Jean, Melba and Wallace.
