smithCarol L. Smith went home to the Lord on November 22, 2013, at the age of 68. Her visitation will be Monday, November 25th from noon until 2:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Heights Community cemetery.

Carol was born to the late Leonard and Adelee Parrish on November 18, 1945. She was a secretary for the family business for 35 years, and a full time Nana. She was preceded in death by her baby brothers, Jimmy and Jerry “Dubby” Parrish; and her baby sister, Marcel Parrish.

She is survived by her sweetheart of 51 years, James E. Smith; beloved son, Steven James Smith and wife Debbie; granddaughter, Megan Brooke Anderson (Curtis); grandson, Hunter Case Smith; great granddaughter, Curtlynn Reese Anderson; brothers, William “T” Parrish, James “Dude” Parrish (Jackie), and Paul Parrish (Jan); sisters,Faye Parrish and Brenda Jefferies (Dwight); sister-in-law, Tessie Haddock; in-laws, Felton Smith (Patty), Alton Smith (Cindy), Linda Martin (Jerry), and Jennifer Pennington (Richard); several special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Wesley Smith, Chad Smith, Bradley Martin, Mike Parrish, Derek Parrish, Charlie Lucy, and James “Tooter” Parrish.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Ray, David Angel, Arlie Keeton, Mike Melson, Keith “Peanut” Scott, Cory Risner, and in memory of Jackie Green.

Carol was a special lady to many and will be missed by all.
