Burl Lee “Walt” Walton left the earth on December 13, 2022. He was born in Little Rock,

Arkansas January 9, 1934. Walt served in the U.S. Navy in his youth, he would say poorly. He

went on to an over sixty year career in the car business doing everything from sales to auction

ring man to managing stores. He was a recovering person, having forty-six years of sobriety. He

spent those years living his purpose. He helped many people achieve sobriety, but his spiritual

life was anonymity. He helped lots of folks buy cars but gave away some to those who couldn’t

purchase them. He attended and spoke at hundreds of conferences, and conventions but he also

paid for others to go. He prepared Thanksgiving meals and Christmas presents for those in need. He

supported St. Jude, Ducks Unlimited and the World Wildlife Fund. He did all of this without

ever telling anyone. He was a humble servant in the best sense of the word.

He always had time to help someone, no matter how busy he was. He told the best stories and

always had a joke. If you were with him, you were guaranteed a laugh. He loved people, all

people, unconditionally. He loved music, especially jazz and traveling. He was a kind and

humble man who touched the lives of many.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Kelly Steed of Conway, Arkansas; son, Walt

Walton (Amanda) of Tupelo; daughter, April Duffle of Memphis, Tennessee; step-son,

David Steed of Dallas, Texas, daughter, Shelby Foster of Conway, Arkansas: grandchildren, Chelsey

Walton, Alex Walton (Nicole), Michael Nelson (Esther), Nick Duffle; great grandchildren,

Brently Walton, Gabriel Nelson and Shawn Nelson.
