Bruce Baker Bruce Baker, 91, of Bolivar, passed from this life Monday morning, April 25, 2022, at Pine Meadows Healthcare Center in Bolivar.

The widower of Ruby Mae Chandler Baker, he was the owner of K&B Used Cars in Bolivar and also was a timber cruiser for Powell Lumber Company in Brownsville. He was born Tuesday, April 21, 1931, in Hardeman County, son of the late Allie B. and Eva Ann Burnette Baker, living all of his life here. He loved to work in the timber business and selling cars and was a carpenter, making a dollar wherever he could. He especially enjoyed being around his family and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Donald Baker (Betty) of Bolivar; a nephew, Jackie W. Baker of Bolivar; and four nieces, Sandra Kirk (Houston) of Middleton, Diane Anthony (Johnny Ray) of Bolivar, Connie Cooper (Mark) of Middleton , Faye Washington (Clark) of Memphis, Barbara Bomar and Bonita Brint both of Bolivar. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Baker and a nephew, Robert Stanley. Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to Ebenezer Cemetery.
