Brent Douglas Bofenkamp, 52, passed away on May 29, 2026. Born on April 17, 1974, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, Brent was known affectionately to family and friends as “Bubba” and “Bof.” Though born in North Carolina, he spent most of his life in Huntsville, Alabama, where he built a life centered on family, friendship, and community.

Brent was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, intelligence, sense of humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of many. He graduated from Grissom High School in Huntsville, attended Auburn University, and earned his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

Throughout his career, Brent worked at Pro V&V in Huntsville, where he was respected by colleagues and known for his professionalism, dedication, and integrity.

Brent loved sports of all kinds, but his greatest passion was Auburn football. Whether cheering on the Tigers on game day, discussing the season, or sharing that enthusiasm with family and friends, his love for Auburn was a defining part of who he was.

Brent is survived by his beloved wife, Wendy Bofenkamp; his children, Jackson, Hudson, and Page Bofenkamp; his mother, Dorothea Bofenkamp; his aunt, Patti DiPretore; his brother, Michael Bofenkamp (Karen); his sister, Susanne Winter (Stan); his sister-in-law, Molly Williams (Tom); his niece, Kinley Grace; and many extended family members, friends, and colleagues who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his father, Brent “Red” Bofenkamp.

Those who knew Brent will remember his loyal friendship, quick wit, warm heart, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the countless memories shared with those who loved him.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice in Brent’s honor.

Brent will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
