Mrs. Brenda ThrogmortonBrenda Throgmorton passed away early Tuesday morning in Milan, Tennessee, leaving behind a quiet but meaningful legacy carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was born May 12, 1948, the youngest of five children to the late Lester and Martha Mae Dickson Flowers.
Brenda lived much of her life in simple and peaceful ways. She did not seek the spotlight or fill her days with hobbies or public interests, but instead found comfort in her solitude and in the calm moments of everyday life. Though she often preferred time alone, her family remembers that she possessed a truly big heart—one that showed itself in quiet kindness, gentle concern, and the steady presence she offered the people she loved most.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Throgmorton; her daughter, Stacey Throgmorton; and her brother, Charles Flowers. Though their loss shaped her journey, Brenda carried their memory with her always.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Tracey Throgmorton; two grandchildren; and her three sisters, Dean Mullins, Evelyn McPeake (Larry), and Shirley Cogdell, who will remember her in their own personal and meaningful ways. Her life was not measured in grand events, but in quiet endurance, private strength, and the enduring love of family.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Her remembrance will live on quietly in the hearts of those who loved her, honoring the peaceful and private spirit with which she lived her life.
Brenda’s story is one of stillness and heart—reminding those who remain that even the quietest lives leave lasting echoes of love.
