Bobby Lee Ward was born on September 25, 1939 in Thomaston, Georgia, the son of the late George and Commie Ward.
On May 5, 1992, he was united in marriage to Doris L. Leathlean, who survives.
Mr. Ward honorably served his country in the United States Army from August 25, 1958 until August 24, 1961. He later retired from Armstrong World Industries in Macon, Georgia after 38 years. Bobby enjoyed eating fish and hanging out at the river. He loved his little lap dogs.
Bobby Lee Ward departed this life on July 24, 2023 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 29 days.
He is survived by his wife, Doris L. Ward; daughter, Tracie McClendon and husband Mike; son, George Christopher Ward and wife Missy; stepdaughter, Sandra Sands; stepsons, Tony Stephens and wife Rita and Kevin Stephens and wife Lissa; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his stepsons, Gary Stephens and Randy Stephens and brother, Billy Ward.
