Bobby Joe Mann, age 73, Lynn, Alabama passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Nauvoo, Alabama and lived most of his life in the area. He was a coal miner and UMWA member for over 29 years. Most of his coal mining employment was with Drummond Coal Company. He was a member of Lynn Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Al. There will be a graveside service, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Lynn Cemetery, Lynn, AL with Bro. Johnny Gunter officiating.

Mr. Mann is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley “Boogie” Brown Mann; sons, Reggie (Lisa) Mann, Mitch (Julie) Mann; daughter, Christi (Kenneth) Hayes; grandsons, Connor and Ryan Mann & Brandon Glander; granddaughters, Laken and Laura Ann Hayes; brother, James Earl (Nell) Mann; sisters in law, Irene (Bobby) Harris, Jerrie Woody; brother in law, Edward Barton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Millie Mann; father, J.D. Mann; sisters, June (C.R.) Woody, Madie Barton & Martha Stewart; brother, George Mann; mother in law, Velma Brown; sister in law, Imalee Farris; brothers in law, George Farris and C.W. Woody.

Pallbearers will be John Woody, Trey Rutherford, Kenneth Hayes, Chuck Woody, Connor Mann and Mitch Mann.
