Funeral service for Melva Jo Waldrep, 82, will be Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Standridge officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Waldrep died on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at The Bridge at Highland Nursing Home in Tennessee. She was born August 8, 1934, in Morgan County to Thomas Burl Slaten and Clara Lucille Griffin Slaten. She was formerly a clerk for The Book Shoppe in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband: Emmett Nicholson Waldrep, Jr. and her parents.
