Bobbie Jean HallBobbie Jean Hall, age 85, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away May 3, 2021 while in the Huntsville Hospital for Covid and pneumonia. She was born May 5, 1935 in Pensacola, Florida to Leo and Gladys Floda, who pre-deceased her.

Jean led a very interesting life. She had a phenomenal singing voice and had a very successful career that allowed her to travel the world using her gift and to meet famous people like Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley during her career.

She started early, singing for the troops at the USO in her hometown of Pensacola. Then at 20, she moved to NY to pursue her career and sang at the famous Copa Cabana Club that was immortalized in the Barry Manilow song. She was also Miss Times Square 1957 and we have posted that picture here along with others showing her the way she liked to remember herself, when she was young, beautiful and living her dreams. She had the voice of an angel and now we know she is with them singing in the Heavenly Choir.

She is survived by her two daughters and their families, Melanie Hall Gullette and Candace Hall Reany; four siblings and their families, Jerry Floda; Ann Strahan; Donna Johnson; Sandra Crosby and a host of other family and dear friends. Jean did not want a funeral service and asked to be cremated instead. There will not be a public memorial service in Huntsville, Alabama but the family will hold a private celebration of her life in Pensacola, Florida at a future date yet to be determined.
