Mr. Adran R. Scott, 84, of Union Grove, Alabama, passed away Tuesday morning, August 25, 2026, at his residence. He was born January 23, 1942, in Cullman County, Alabama, to Chalmer Daniel Scott and Edith Opal Whitlock Scott. He and his wife, Shelby Dean Thomason Scott, shared more than 65 years of marriage. Adran spent his professional career at the Monsanto plant in Decatur, Alabama.
Adran was a member of Arab Christian Center, where he served as Second Elder of the Church. He devoted many hours to studying and reading his Bible. His hobbies included making wooden crosses, pond fishing, and Alabama football.
Adran is survived by his wife, Shelby Scott; son, L. Keith Scott (Denise); daughter, Diane Scott (Ruben Collier); grandchildren, Nic Scott (Steph), Kody Scott, and Jade Scott, Tiffany Hamilton, Nene Scott, Sheena Scott, Delenza Scott, and Rico Scott; great-grandchildren, Isaac Scott, Lorelei Scott and six addition great grandchildren; and sister, Nelda Simpson (Eugene).
A graveside service will be at 2:00pm at New Friendship Cemetery on Thursday, August 27, 2026. Pastor Ernie Brown will officiate. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisting the family with arrangements.
