Holly Danielle Rice, 35, of Harvest, Alabama, unexpectedly passed into Heaven on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Madison Hospital in Madison, Alabama, after a courageous three year battle with melanoma cancer.
She was born June 25, 1985 in Long Beach, California, the daughter of Donald Leo Rice and Wanda Terrell Rice of Harvest, Alabama. She enjoyed attending church services at The Rock.
Holly loved her family and enjoyed her son’s baseball and soccer games. She enjoyed playing soccer, attending University of Alabama football games, and vacationing with family and friends.
Visitation with her family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4:00 p.m.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Leo and Gladys Rice and Clarence (Buddy) Terrell.
In addition to her parents, those left to cherish and honor her memory include a son, Vernon Jaleel Hereford; fiancé, Vernon Hereford, Jr. of the home; a brother, Richard L. Rice of Harvest, Alabama; grandmother, Hallie B. Jones, of Burlington, N.C.; uncle and aunt, Jack and Linda Greer of Stony Point; NC; cousin, Tiffany O’Malley of Rincon, Puerto Rico, cousin; Patrick Greer of Crosby, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
