UPDATE from ALEA-“ALEA Marine Patrolย Troopers continue to investigate Saturdayโs boat crash that claimed the life of 12 year old from Vinemont. Investigators sayย Christian Hart wasย killed when he was hit by a boat near the Goat Island area of Smith Lake. Hart had been tubing in the area prior to the crash.
CULLMAN COUNTY – On Saturday, May 26 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency report a boating accident that took the life of a 12-year-old boy this Memorial Day weekend on Smith Lake:
“ALEA Marine Patrol Troopers are investigating a boat crash that occurred today (Saturday, May 25) on Smith Lake near Goat Island around 6:20 p.m. The single vesselย crash resulted in the death of a twelve year old boy from the Vinemont area. Investigators say that a boat was pulling three juveniles on tubes when one of them was fatally injured.
Marine Patrol investigators continue to gather information.
