Benjamin Robert Williamson, age 81, of Talladega County, Passed away on April 29, 2021 at his residence. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2pm at Rocky Mount Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 12-1 at Benefield Funeral Home Ashland.
Mr. Benjamin Robert Williamson was a long-time member and deacon of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
Mr. Benjamin Robert Williamson was preceded in death by his parents, Pellam Anderson Williamson and Katie Mae Campbell Williamson. His Brothers, Pellam Anderson Williamson Jr., Morgan Williamson, Eldridge Harold Williamson, Cliff Williamson, Leon Williamson, and Woodrow Williamson. His sisters, Ondine Milam, Christine Lynch, and Evelyn Adams.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Williamson, His children, Lin Williamson Kilroy (husband Chris), Andy Williamson (wife Lana), Alen Williamson, Adam Brant Williamson (wife Erica), Antraun Williamson (wife Ashley).; His grandchildren, Amber (husband Blake), Autumn, Austin (wife Kara), Avery, (wife Jordan), Amreigh, Ryan, Shana, Alex, Ashton, Andrew, Aspen, Ayla, Austin G., Allyson, Anslee, Adleigh, Abel, Kade, and Kolbe; great grandchildren, Asher, Andin, Airelin, and Archer; a sister, Catherine Edwards.

Benjamin Robert Williamson was known as Paw to the family. He was born June 26, 1939 at a family home in rocky mount about 1 mile from here. Paw lived in these mountains for 61 years. His father Anderson help build Rocky Mount Baptist Church which served as a school. Later, Paw over saw the building of the new church that stands here today. When he was four years old, his father passed away. His family then moved to Sico about five miles from here. In 1958 he graduated Winterboro High School. He met Patricia Brown in 1956 and they married in May of 1960. They have been married for 61 years. He was a faithful man who loved the lord, his family, and church. Paw worked at Kimberly Clark and retired after 22 years. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, traveling, and of course watching “Fox News”. Paw was loved very much by his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. We love you Paw.
