Lowell Devon Melton, known to everyone as Petey, was born on September 3, 1964 and passed away on August 28, 2026. Petey was a loving and caring son, brother, father, uncle and friend to all that knew him. Petey enjoyed Alabama football and basketball, NASCAR racing and watching any sporting event he could attend. He loved doing yard work and being outside.
A private family visitation will be held. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 8th in Civitan Cemetery at 10 a.m.
Petey is survived by his 2 granddaughters, Kyleigh Melton & Aria Melton; his sister Stacie (Ronald ) Belue; special niece April Parker; as well as several nieces and nephews; Special aunts Sue Raley, Wanda Chandler, Hilda Comer; and cousin Ashley (Teresa) Eastep; Special friends Jackie Gowan and Tammy Nix.
Petey is proceeded in death by his son Nick Melto; parents PeeWee & Ann Melton; sisters Selena Haygood, Beverly “Donna” Tracy.
In lieu of flowers family is asking for donations to help cover his funeral expenses. Donations can be made at Rogersville Funeral Home.
