Funeral services for Ms. LeeAnn Mitchell, age 64 of Lineville, will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Bro. Jesse Lindsey, Rev. Jimmy Bray, Rev. Jerry Patterson and Rev. Jeff Nettles officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Ms. Mitchell passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Clay County, she was a 1974 graduate of Lineville High school. LeeAnn enjoyed walking, going out to eat, and watching TV, especially the “Golden Girls”. She loved her sisters, and enjoyed going on their “sister trips” as well as attending “hen parties” once a month. For many years, LeeAnn was a part of the “happy hour” at Lineville Health & Rehab and also the “singalong” at the Clay County Nursing Home. LeeAnn loved reading her bible, singing and reciting the Lord’s Prayer. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery and was attending Center West Baptist Church.
She is survived by her three sisters: Martha Collum (Roger) of Dadeville, Becky Mitchell of Lineville and Donna Frames of Delta; two nephews, three nieces, numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Betty Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be: Randy Mitchell, Tony Mitchell, Aaron Mitchell, Will Meadows, Jeff Odom, Patrick Green, Daniel Smith and Ricky Pinkston.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville. Ms. Mitchell will lie in state for one hour prior to services at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
