ATHENS-The Athens Police Department is asking for help in locating a suspect who held up a Domino’s Pizza driver on Sunday evening, August 30:
“Last night around 10:33 the police department received a call from a driver for Domino’s Pizza saying he had been robbed. The driver told officers he was driving east on 9th Avenue at the intersection of North Houston Street. A black male walked in front of his car then up to the driver’s side window and ask to use the victim’s cell phone. The victim told the male he didn’t have a phone. The male then pulled a knife out and demanded the victim’s money. The suspect left with a small amount of cash and ran toward Houston Court Apartments. The suspect is a black male in his 40’s, medium build, 5’8”to 5’11”, short groomed hair and a deep voice. He was wearing a dark shirt and pants. There were no injuries in this case.
