Allen Clayton, 90, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Baldwyn Nursing Facility. Allen was born on May 1, 1933, in Pontotoc County, MS to Aubrey Howard and Lavada Wilder Clayton. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and working on his trucks.
Allen is survived by his children, Debbie Hutcheson (Bob), Diane Moody (Randy), and Perry Clayton (Kay); his grandchildren, Amanda Schaeffer (Brian), Kelli Greer (Shohn), Shaunda Caples (Kyle), Josh Moody (Cleo), and Chris Clayton (Connie); 12 great-grandchildren; his sister, Pat Clayton; nieces, Carolyn Rackley (Glenson) and Phyllis Reeder (Jackie); his nephew, Shane Clayton (Jimma); stepchildren, Patricia Heatherly, Debra Ross, Denise Horton, Billy Kramer, Greg Kramer, Gary Kramer and families; and his brother-in-law, Johnny Gory (Betty).
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha Clayton; and his brother and sister-in-law, Alvis and Lorise Clayton.
Services will be Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 4PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Frank Wilder officiating. Visitation will begin at 2PM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Immanuel Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Shane Clayton, Josh Moody, Clay Pitts, Kyle Caples, Shohn Greer, Chris Clayton, Vernon Clayton, Lawrence Moody, and Tanner Clayton.
