LIMESTONE COUNTY – Aleut Real Estate, LLC (ARE), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Aleut Corporation (Aleut), has finalized a ground lease at Pryor Field Regional Airport in Limestone County, Alabama, where it plans to construct an aircraft maintenance hangar in collaboration with Strata-G Solutions, LLC. Strata-G is a design engineering firm based in Huntsville, Alabama, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Aleut.
The project marks a significant investment in aviation infrastructure, with a planned $25 million facility. Once completed the hangar will support maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for DoD & commercial aviation clients. This is the first development project for Aleut Real Estate in the state of Alabama.

As part of broader regional support, both ARE and Strata-G were granted tax abatements by Limestone County to assist with project startup costs. These incentives will help reduce near-term overhead and contribute to long-term viability for commercial operations at the site.
The project aligns with the Pryor Field Airport Authority’s southwest expansion plan and is supported by key partners including Limestone County and the State of Alabama. Currently in the pre-construction phase, the development is expected to follow an 18-month timeline. Groundbreaking is scheduled for summer 2025, with hangar completion anticipated in early 2027. ARE is working with Fite Building Company as the design-build contractor to lead the project through both preconstruction and construction phases.
