FLORENCE-Florence Arts & Museums will celebrate Earth Day with Storytime at the Museum on Thursday, April 23rd, from 3:30-
4:30pm at the Florence Mound and Museum. Join us for a read-aloud session with our Museum Educator of the picture book, Berry Song written by Caldecott Medalist and a member of the Tlingit Nation, Michaela Goade. After the story, students and their families will be invited on a nature walk and a native plant scavenger hunt to celebrate Earth Day! The walk will take place atop of the mound and around the garden areas, weather permitting. The students will also get a chance to create their own clay native-seed bomb as a make & take gift to celebrate Earth Day! We hope to see you there!

The Florence Mound and Museum is located at 1028 S Court Street, Florence, AL 35630. Parking is located around the mound on the circular drive. Storytime will take place inside of the museum building inside of the conference room across from the front desk and permanent exhibit space.
