Barbara Belew Maness, age 87, passed away early Thursday, March 19, 2026, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Maness was born in Henderson County on March 30, 1938, to the late Eugene and Lois Belew. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Hopper (Greg) and Leslie Powers (Tony); a brother, Robert Wade Belew (Patricia); and a sister, Ginny Belew Kmak (Tom); four grandchildren: Ashley Heering, Lana Harmon, Garrett Crowe and Gavin Powers; six great-grandchildren: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Allen Maness; a sister, Judy Phillips; and a brother, Phil Belew. Funeral services will be on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Lexington Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 12:00 PM until time of service.
