Elizabeth Mitchell, 83, of Cordova, passed away at her residence on March 20, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, March 23 at New Horizon Chapel with Bro. Buddy Sparkman officiating. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents Morgan and Edna Hassell, husband Marvin O. Mitchell, Sr., brother Douglas Hassell, sons in law Alex Niblett, Jr. and Jimmy Teal.
Elizabeth is survived by her son Marvin (Kristy) Mitchell, two daughters Tina Teal (Rod Cunningham), Sheila Niblett, sister Mary Ruth Hayes, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She enjoyed planting and tending to her flowers, Alabama football, she loved going to church and worshiping her Lord. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas; she loved the snowmen.
Her sweet spirit will be greatly missed.
