Sharon Delores Kennedy, 73, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at Athens Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Kennedy was born on December 28th, 1952, Fairfax County, Virginia, to Johnnie and Mary Evelyn (Kight) Hooker.
Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her sons, Jeff Kennedy (Whitney) and Daniel Kennedy (Laura); granddaughters, Paola Ponce (Angel), Amy Kennedy, and Carley Kennedy; and great-grandson, Xavier Ponce.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Mary Evelyn Hooker; husband, David Kennedy; sisters, Barbara England and Velma Hooker; and brother, Johnnie Hooker.
Graveside services for Mrs. Kennedy will be February 20th, 2026, at Bottoms Cemetery, at 2:00 p.m., with Bill Perkins officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 20th, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Clint Boyd, David Conley, Daniel Kennedy, Angel Ponce, Jeff Kennedy, and Jimmy Rupp. Burial will be at Bottoms Cemetery.
