Memorial Services for Mr. Jimmy L. Baker Jr, age 54 of Lineville, will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Rodney East officiating. A private Interment will be held at a later date at Faith Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Baker passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston. He was born and raised in Clay County. He worked building chicken houses and installing equipment, but worked primarily in the pulpwood industry as an equipment operator for most of his life. Mr. Baker enjoyed going fishing, swapping and buying tools, and attending trade days on the weekends. He was a loving and caring father who would give you the shirt off of his back if he could.
Mr. Baker is survived by three sons: Ethan Lee Baker of Anniston, Eli Lee Baker and Evan Kenneth Baker, both of Lineville; his daughter, Emily Renee Clampitt of Kansas; one grandson on the way, Kole Lee Baker; one sister, Norma Baker Chapman (Ronnie) of Oxford; one brother, William Albert Baker, plus a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jimmy Lee Baker Sr and JoAnn Marie Blanchard Baker; two sisters: Nancy Jo Baker Morgan and Wanda L. Baker Smith; and two brothers: Wayne Joseph Baker and Johnny Cash Baker.
His visitation will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations towards his funeral expenses be brought to Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
