Statement from Joshua McLaughlin:
“When you steal from hardworking people and threaten them with deadly weapons, you put yourself at risk of serious injury or death. This case is an example of a lawfully armed citizen taking action to protect their family. Had the homeowner not been armed, this situation could have ended very differently. I am thankful that no lives were lost and proud of our team for following the evidence and making an arrest. I also want to thank the Decatur Police Department for their assistance during this investigation.”
