Sandra Ruth Flom Smith, age 84, passed away on January 10, 2026, at Generations of Spencer, TN from an extended illness. Sandra was born on December 25, 1941, to the late Clifford and Ruth Meilicke Flom. Sandra was an interior designer and the owner of Smith & Co., a business that originated in Northeastern Ohio. She was a graduate of the University of North Dakota. Above all, Sandra loved experiencing the world. She traveled extensively, including memorable trips across Europe with her family that she treasured deeply. Music was another great joy in her life, she loved to sing and could often be found at the piano, filling the room with warmth and song. Sandra’s creativity, love of beauty, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by father of her child (Glenna); Roger Drew Smith, sister; Naomi Louise Clifford.
She is survived by her loving daughter; Glenna (Lee) Stover.
A celebration of life for Mrs. Sandra will be held on a later date in the Glenwood area of Minnesota.

Sandy was a lovely person, and a friend of the Onstad family (Fargo) for many years. I have photos of her from the late ’60s with my family playing music together, with Sandy singing in her beautiful voice. My oldest brother Paul was close friends with Sandy for decades and they shared a love of music, art and interior decorating. Over the last 5 years, I was in correspondence with Sandy, and she wrote long, heart-felt letters to me, and we shared reminiscences of the past through letters back and forth. May her memory be a blessing🙏
