George William Wilkerson, Sr., age 63, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Northcrest Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.
Mr. Wilkerson was born October 8, 1962, in Springfield, to the late George Edward Wilkerson and the late Mattie Lee Summers Wilkerson. He had worked at Rawls & Sons Auto Salvage for several years.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilkerson was preceded in death by his wife, Loray Wilkerson; sister, Lisa Wilkerson; half-brother, Earl Mooneyhan; and half-sisters, Marie Yates and Linda McEwing.
He is survived by his son, George William Wilkerson, Jr.; daughter, Sarah Ann Marie Wilkerson; and a half-brother, Thomas Mooneyhan.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask for memorial donations to be made to Austin & Bell Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
