Barbara Ann Rich Rhodes, 87, of Cherokee, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026. There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 2, at Harris Chapel Cemetery with Buddy James officiating.
Barbara was a native of Colbert County and a member of Cherokee Methodist Church. She was a retired court clerk for the city of Cherokee. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Myrtle Rich; brothers, William Thomas Rich and wife Evelyn and James Earl Rich; sister, Martha Jones and husband, Kenneth; brother-in-law, Billy Waldrep; and nephews, Kenny Jones and Ricky Rich.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, William Joyce “Dub” Rhodes; son, Mike Rhodes; sister, Helen Waldrep; sister-in-law, Shirley Rich; grandchildren, Elle Reese Rhodes and Evan Michael Rhodes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Evan Rhodes, John Schlosser, Doug Hester, Alan McVay, Adam McVay, and Greg Waldrep.
